We can confirm, indeed, that train services between New Kapiri Mposhi and Nakonde Stations resumed today (12th December 2017), following the return to work by unionized employees in Zambia, who had downed tools on 5th December 2017.
The Mukuba Express Train has, therefore, resumed its normal schedule, running from New Kapiri Mposhi to Dar es Salaam on Tuesday 12th December 2017 and is due to return from Dar es Salaam on Friday 15th December 2017.
Similarly, the Kilimanjaro Ordinary Train that had been operating in Tanzania only in the past one week, has resumed its normal path and is expected to run all the way to New Kapiri Mposhi on Tuesday 12th December 2017. The Kilimanjaro will, accordingly, return from New Kapiri Mposhi on Friday 15th December 2017.
We deeply regret the inconveniences occasioned to our dear travellers and the general public during the past one week.
